Founded in 1969, John O’Conner is a privately-owned grounds maintenance company that keeps people at its heart. We are dedicated to the continuous development of each and every employee, and that commitment is reflected by the high-quality services we deliver to our clients.
With our head office located in Welwyn but operating throughout the UK, we provide extensive grounds maintenance and landscaping services to both public and private sectors. The sectors we work in include:

John O’Conner invests heavily in apprenticeships and since launching our programme in 2011, we’ve recruited over 100 apprenticeships and 40% of work placements have converted to full time employment.
When recruiting apprentices, we recruit from within the local community who are then dedicated to our client’s contract. Our apprentices attend a local college on a day release scheme, whilst getting paid, gain industry recognised qualifications and valuable industry experience.
